Shadowborne Chronicles is an in-development animated series. It narrates the story of Umbriel, leader of the Shadow Lieutenants, and Aria, an orphan with an unknown past.
Umbriel, betrayed by his own and stripped of most of his powers, embarks on a journey to the home of the Shadow Lieutenants. Aria, who has discovered that she possesses magical powers she was previously unaware of, decides to accompany him to try to find out more about them and learn how to use them.
Directed by @pluraldan and @elialsldm, the series showcases a complex universe set in the present day in which magic exists, although very few humans can use it.
"I wanted to create a series that showed magic in a unique, more mature, and realistic way. Shadowborne Chronicles adds a unique twist to all these magical elements, creating a reality in which they can coexist in our real world." - Dan says. "We wanted everyone to be able to see the complexity in the characters's emotions clearly, so we combined the intricate 3D animation with the aesthetically pleasing 2D hand-painted textures."
